WASHINGTON (9/24/08)—Credit Union National Association (CUNA) President/CEO Dan Mica Wednesday posted a video reminder that not only are consumers' federally insured share deposits in credit unions safe, credit unions are "probably the safest depository institutions in the country right now."

 

How does NCUSIF share insurance protect credit union members against loss?

Each credit union approved for NCUSIF share insurance must meet high standards of safety and soundness in its operation. Adherence to these standards is determined regularly through credit union examinations by federal and state examiners.

The DHSCU enhanced online State of Tennessee Payroll Request/Direct Deposit Authorization form is available for our members.  This easy to use form allows you to enter your information and then print.  We are constantly looking for ways to make your financial life easier.

DHSCU now offers an alternative to PayDay Loans and Check Cashing Places.  Have you come up short between paychecks and needed a little extra cash?  Don't worry, it happens to all of us once in awhile.  Our CU Achieve Program is a simple, fast and low-cost alternative to PayDay/Check Cashing advances.  Consider it a safety net you can use when confronted with unexpected expenses - and without getting stuck in a never ending cycle of debt from excessive finance charges.

See our Member Service Representative and let them know you would like to use the CU Achieve program for $300.00 to $500.00.  With limited paperwork they will process your request and you could be walking away with cash in hand.

Annual program fee, terms and conditions do apply.  For required forms and more information, click the CU Achieve logo and start swimming from the sharks today!

**You do not need Check Cashing or PayDay Loans to take advantage of this program**

Turn around time could be up to two days as this is a new program - but worth the wait..!

New Money Tower Locations

To improve saving our members ATM Fee's, DHS Credit Union partnered with Money Tower.  Most, if not all, Money Tower ATM's are located in a Walgreen store through out Tennessee. 

Located to the left of the home page you will find the Money Tower ATM locator.  By clicking the icon you will be delivered to a search engine of an ATM machines.  As Money Tower adds machines to their matrix, not every machine has been listed on the locator.  Below is the NEWEST Money Tower Locations in Tennessee and Georgia.
